i am a glamorous boy

i really enjoy the time i get to spend in a studio with a fun photographer, his terrific team, a beautiful model, and create some photo MAGiC.  this afternoon i bundled up all my hair and make-up gear and headed over to MUSiLEK studios in the rain.  my friend STAN MUSiLEK (www.musilek.com) had an idea that he wanted to execute and add to his already phenomenal book.  this is the before picture of the hair and make-up — i can’t wait to revel what the finish product is going to look like.  i am not even going to hint at it because it’s going to be absolutely MAjOR.

sears flew me down to the sensational tinsel town last october to do hair for their holiday “be the santa you want to be” television commericals, 4 in all.  i never got to see them on the actual television nor could i find them on youtube.com BUT alas my gorgeous friend and fellow make-up conspirator on the commercials, SAGE MAiTRi, (www.themagnetagency.com), handed over the reels!  i am excited to premiere my holiday commericals — check out the pretty, shiny, and awesome hair, just follow the links.

i look forward to my days i get to spend on set with my favorite piperlime crew, we always have such a blast making fashion happen.  it was summer time fashion on the horizon so we got to use some pretty fun props to help signify summer time…green turf, pink flamingos, a hammock, and several plants.  it was super duper special today because i even got to sit in for the model to test the lights.  i personally think piperlime.com has found it’s new face….ME!!!

san francisco is the mecca for shooting dot com and i am taking the internet by storm!  i posted my latest from piperlime.com last week and today i am going to direct you to the levis website (www.levis.com).  i got to spend a full day hanging out with some super fun and crazy cute little ones, and maybe some not so little ones.  it was fun seeing them ham it up in front of the camera — playing with hoola hoops, old cameras, skateboards, jump ropes, and all those nostalgic kid toys.  it’s all about promoting levis spring children’s jeans – so check out the photos under kids & baby tab….while your at it grab a pair of jeans for a kid in your life.

i been really longing to get my creative side, i have been begging and pleading for my talented friends to please please please work with me.  my gorgeous friend and very brilliant photographer jENNA ALCALA (www.jennaalcala.com) gave into my pestering.  she was inspired by flowers, pastels, and clean fresh make-up.  she went along this photo so i could jump on board and see her vision.

i fell in love immediately with the tousled beachy hair, the soft pretty feminine make-up, and the fun hippy flower power vibe.  the day of the shoot jENNA had come up with a five look beauty story that involved little hair changes and keeping the make-up simple but changing out the lips with different pastel colors – from light pink to a deep matte mauve.  we were lucky to get a absolutely gorgeous girl from JE models (www.jemodels.com).  she had flawless skin, huge doe eyes, and some incredible angelina jolie lips.

spending 8 hours with incredibly nice, talented, and funny people is what makes work worth going to.  i absolutely adore my www.piperlime.com family – not only are they a pleasure to work with BUT they also give me free reign with hair and make-up.  they don’t mind that i get bored with the hair so fast that i feel the need to change it with each and every wardrobe change.  my work gets changed every few weeks on their website promoting all their fun, fashionable, and decently priced goods.  this month they are showing off the incredible jeans that a girl can find on their site.

you can also find yourself a beautiful, flirty, flowing dress or skirt to rock this spring.  i had such a fantastic time shooting these shots with the incredible HANS KWiOTEK (www.hanskwiotek.com) on a rooftop over looking the breath taking san francisco sky line.

playing with hair and make-up makes this boy happy, but i have had a short spell of some not so inspiring jobs (love the people, love the money, and love the clients but lacked that creative juice).  i was all sorts of happy when the sensational photographer DANiEL CASTRO – www.castrophotos.com – texted me and asked to do a beauty shoot with him.  this was the inspiration he sent over to me

how gorgeous is this image?  my jaw dropped at the beautifully crafted hair – it was curled, sculpted, and designed to perfection!  the week before the shoot i was down in LA LA LAND shooting for pottery barn teen and had no time to create a gorgeous hair piece(s) for the shoot.  i decided that i could challenge myself and see what i could create using the models own hair, i came up with some fun sculpted hair loosely inspired from the photo.  here are some behind the scene photos taken by yours truly (i don’t claim to be a photographer but thanks to the shakeit app on the iphone i’m pretty amazing).
